The Virginia Symphony

The Virginia Symphony, under the leadership of Grammy winning music director, JoAnn Faletta, is Virginia’s preeminent professional symphony orchestra. Ranked in the top ten percent of professional orchestras nationwide, it was founded in 1921. The Virginia Symphony serves the entire Southeastern part of Virginia with classical, pops, and family concert series, as well as performances in outlying Virginia and North Carolina communities. The orchestra reaches nearly 150,000 concert goers a year, in addition to 45,000 children, students, and lifelong learners with its education and community programs. We very much look forward to welcoming the Virginia Symphony, under the direction of Mr. Gonzalo Farias, to our concert series.
