Saturday          March 11, 2017          7:30 p.m.

This year The Virginia Symphony, under the leadership of JoAnn Faletta, Music Director, will close our season.  This nationally recognized regional orchestra is provided by the generosity of the Camp Foundation.  The orchestra performs over 200 concerts a year throughout Hampton Roads and Williamsburg.  Founded in 1920 as the Norfolk Symphony, it was the only American orchestra between Baltimore and Atlanta.  In 1979, the Norfolk Symphony, Peninsula Symphony Orchestra, and the Virginia Beach Pops Orchestra merged to become The Virginia Symphony.  Benjamin Ross will conduct.
